(which means “Great Taste” in Italian) was founded on April 3, 1999, by brothers Angelo and Michael Romanelli. The two Philadelphia natives built the business by hand from the ground up. Their great tasting products are made from recipes that come from the “Old Country” with a few improvements. Through knowledge acquired while researching their business in Italy, they have perfected their concept and have created a masterpiece.

The original idea came in an unusual way. While attending the USC Entrepreneur Program Angelo had an assignment to create a unique business venture from scratch and plan it through inception. The finished project earned the teachers praise as well as the students’ tremendous interest in the products. With that kind of response, Angelo thought he must be on to something. At that point, he requested the help of his brother Michael and they began to develop their venture. Getting the first restaurant open was a long process, but once it opened the brothers realized the potential for their concept was infinite. It was an immediate hit with customers and critics alike, as evidenced by their Best of L.A. acknowledgment in only their first year in business. Upon recognition that their niche was vacant they put together a plan to fill that void. Due to overwhelming popularity and the abundance of franchise and wholesale requests, they needed to enlist the help of Angelo Sr. and Martha. Over the past 7 years, they have experienced phenomenal growth, expanding to 4 restaurants with plans for more in the near future. In addition to their restaurants, they have secured contracts with the Six Flags Corporation and also provide catering for all the major film studios including Universal and Warner Brothers. Their business has grown to include 9 mobile locations and wholesale accounts in the southwestern United States. They are excited that they have created something consumers love and are ready to explode their business into the 21st century.
